Some of California's treasures are works of art that were created by early impressionists, who captured the light and beauty of small town living along the coast. E. Charlton Fortune was an artist who painted vibrant colorful scenes of the seaside village of Monterey California, as well as the small town of St. Tropez. She left behind a collection of works which can now be seen in selected museums in Northern California.
