Pamela K. Wilson

Pamela Wilson is a Los Angeles native who was raised in the world of journalism.  Her father, an investigative reporter for over 35 years, exposed her to the daily cycle of political, social, and regional news events taking place throughout the city.  Frequent family outings to beautiful historic parks and local landmarks such as the Griffith Park Observatory, Grauman's Chinese Theater, Los Angeles County Arboretum, Santa Anita Racetrack, and many others, created fond childhood memories.  Her adventurous spirit and love of art and culture drove her to continue to explore the unique beauty Los Angeles has to offer.

In 2001 she became the announcer for the weekly calendar program on KPFK, 90.7 FM where she refined her writing and communication skills.  In 2004 she created Treasures of the West, which features stories on Southern California's unique historic landmarks.  Pamela is the host and producer of the show which airs monthly on KPFK.

Her mission is to share the rich history, beauty, and culture of Southern California and the importance that it be preserved for the enjoyment of future generations to come.
